I contributed the Guardian newspaper December 2018 monthly podcast discussing the failing health of UK high streets and the impact on communities.

During the podcast I drew comparisons about the economic pressures on brick and mortar retail between New York City and provincial UK towns and cities, explaining that the causes and effects do not discriminate, whether it’s a global mega city or small town.

Bedford & Bowery is a leading New York City blog covering lower Manhattan and parts of Brooklyn. I am quoted in this article about the Alamo Sculpture which turned 50 years old in 2017. The iconic sculpture was New York City’s first piece of outdoor public art and has since gained cult status with New Yorker’s. In the article I discuss aspects if how our Business Improvement District cares for the sculpture, and event I organized to celebrate it’s 50th.

The street is a major commercial corridor of my employer, the Village Alliance Business Improvement District (BID). I am quoted several times in the article discussing the marketing and event strategy I developed for our BID, and the re-positioning of West 8th Street.

Until it’s demise in 2018 the Village Voice was a journalistic icon covering New York City, while being revered nationally.

In November 2016 I commented on the activation of Astor Place by HBO Game of Thrones, an event which at the time caused controversy given the new public space had only recently opened. As a Village Alliance (my employer) I explain why this happened.

The Villager is leading local newspaper for lower Manhattan. I was interviewed for this article about the return of the iconic Alamo sculpture to Astor Place, and it’s meaning to the neighborhood. The sculpture was temporarily removed to facilitate the creation of the new Astor Place plazas, and was greatly missed during it’s absence.
